Job Title : Junior Press Tool Designer Department : NPD Location : Hosur, TN Qualification : Diploma / Postgraduate in Tool Design from leading institutes (NTTF / GTTC). B.E. with Postgraduate Diploma from NTTF or equivalent Tool Maker Design programs (Preferred). Experience : 2 4 Years Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Jr. Press Tool Designer with strong background in Tool & Die Design and hands-on experience in designing press tools, particularly stage tools . The role involves creating accurate 2D and 3D tool designs , supporting tool development, and ensuring manufacturability. Key Responsibilities Design and develop press tools, including stage tools and progressive tools for sheet metal Components and assemblies. Create detailed engineering 2D drawings and 3D models, and specifications. Collaborate with production teams (tool makers, quality & manufacturing) to troubleshoot tooling issues and reduce downtime. Conduct design reviews and incorporate improvements based on feedback. Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturability standards. Maintain documentation, revision history, and adherence to design processes. Required Qualifications Good understanding of progressive tool design concepts. Candidates from NTTF or GTTC background will be prioritized. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality. Familiarity to interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Familiarity with tool steels, punches, die components & manufacturing processes.
