About the role
As an IT Infrastructure Manager at our organization, your role is crucial in maintaining and overseeing our enterprise IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and strategic growth. You will be responsible for various aspects including networking, security, servers, data centers, cloud services, IT asset and service management, governance, vendor relations, backup and recovery, and security compliance. Here's a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Networking and Security: - Design, implement, and monitor network infrastructure for performance and security. - Develop and enforce security protocols such as firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. - Manage cybersecurity threats, mitigate risks, and grow networks cost-effectively. - Servers, Data Centre Co-locations, and Cloud Services: - Oversee deployment, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers. - Manage hosting of company's ERP and other business applications, ensuring maximum uptime and availability. - Lead cloud infrastructure management including migration, security, and cost optimization. - Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. - IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM): - Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets. - Implement lifecycle management policies. - Oversee provisioning, maintenance, and upgrades of end-user devices. - Ensure seamless and secure user experiences. - IT Governance, Policies, and Standards: - Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks aligning with business objectives. - Develop, implement, and audit IT policies and standards. - Manage and audit software licenses to prevent non-compliance. - Develop cybersecurity policies and procedures. - Vendor and Supplier Management: - Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers. - Negotiate contracts and SLAs. - Monitor vendor performance for service quality and compliance. - Data Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery Planning: - Develop and maintain backup and data recovery procedures. - Test disaster recovery plans regularly for business resilience. - Coordinate with business continuity plans to minimize disruptions. As for the qualifications required, the ideal candidate should possess: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's preferred. - Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, governance, and security roles. - Expertise in networking, security, servers, cloud solutions, and data centers. - Strong understanding of information security and privacy standards. Additionally, any relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO, SOC, AWS/Azure are considered a plus. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, prioritization, and critical thinking abilities are also preferred.
