Back End Specialist Launch Team

As a Process Expert at Ball, you will play a crucial role in the start-up performance of New Build, New Line, and Line Conversion projects in the spray and necker areas. Your primary responsibility will be to achieve Efficiency and Spoilage targets while prioritizing safety requirements. You will also be accountable for other KPIs such as Material usages and Production Supplies, as well as adhering to Environment prescriptions relevant to your area of expertise. Your key responsibilities will include: - Championing a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with safety requirements - Leading equipment start-up, providing technical support, and ensuring equipment meets performance specifications - Serving as the on-site operational Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned process areas - Delivering structured training to plant teams and providing troubleshooting support - Participating in root cause analysis and problem resolution - Validating SOPs, work instructions, and training materials - Promoting food safety, sanitation, and housekeeping discipline - Collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams - Providing breakdown support during start-up phase To qualify for this position, you should have: - Mechanical or electrical qualification - Training/teaching qualification with a minimum Train The Trainer certification - Strong knowledge of the Can making process and expertise in at least one specific area - Capability in equipment setup, troubleshooting, and optimization - Competent computer skills for data analysis and report writing - English communication skills at a minimum communicative level - Experience with line launches or rebuild projects preferred - Ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement - Ability to mentor and develop team members - Strong attention to detail and adherence to specifications - Effective communication skills across all departments and levels - Minimum of 5 years experience in Can manufacturing - Basic Problem Solving techniques and Lean principles knowledge - Line launch or line project experience preferred Join Ball Corporation, an Equal Opportunity Employer, where diversity and inclusion are at the core of our culture.
