Role Overview: You will be joining the Data Analytics Strategy platform and FRCIS team at Bank of America as a mid-level Data Engineering professional with 4 years of relevant experience, focusing on Hadoop and Unix environments. Your primary responsibility will be to work on the CSWT Graph Data Platform and SDP, contributing to the development of a Tiger Graph based RAG (GraphRAG) solution for AI use cases in Consumer applications, fraud detection, and AML tracking. Key Responsibilities: - Actively participate in development and maintenance activities. - Ensure stability, performance, and reliability of big data systems, particularly in the Hadoop ecosystem. - Monitor and manage daily batch processes across the Hadoop ecosystem. - Collaborate with CIO leads to deliver development tasks and technical solutions. - Engage in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities. - Support upgrades and new functionality implementations. - Facilitate brainstorming meetings with the team to review, analyze, optimize queries, conduct Root Cause Analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, assess business systems, and implement necessary changes. - Develop complex technical objects in line with technical development standards and best practices. - Troubleshoot, prioritize, resolve, and escalate production issues. - Contribute to continuous process improvement. - Proactively monitor Hadoop maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed processes, and address issues promptly. - Monitor system health and performance. - Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security. - Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. - Assist developers with query tuning, schema refinement, and query optimization. - Understand Agile methodologies and work independently in sprints. - Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with data governance standards. Qualifications Required: - 4 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on Hadoop and Unix environments. - Strong hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hive, PySpark, Impala, and handling large datasets. - Passion for delivering high-quality software, solving complex problems, and driving process improvements through innovative ideas. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies. - Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
