About the role
As a BigData Quality Analyst - Spark, Scala, AWS at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in the evolution of the infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Your primary responsibilities will include harnessing cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. By ensuring the seamless delivery of digital solutions, you will drive innovation and operational excellence within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with quality standards. - Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools for early detection of defects and quality issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria. - Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations. - Lead and supervise a team, guide and support professional development, allocate work requirements, and coordinate team resources. Qualifications Required: - Strong software testing experience in Datawarehouse and Big Data applications. - Experience with Big data tools like Spark with different data formats like JSON, Parquet, CSV. - Proficiency in developing Jupyter Notebooks using Scala-Spark or PySpark. - Exposure to AWS Cloud Services. - Strong understanding of ETL processes, data validation techniques, and data analysis. - Proficiency in writing complex SQL for data analysis and validation. - Experience in test management and defect tracking using JIRA. - Ability to work collaboratively in Agile or DevOps environments. The role is based out of Pune.
