About the role
Barclays is hiring for the role of Data Analyst! Responsibilities of Candidate: Support decision-making processes within the Group Economic Crime COO team by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through KPI management reports and dashboards. Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards using various data visualization tools and techniques. Design and implement automated report generation processes to enhance operational efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy. Identify and analyze core business requirements to properly define report content, format, and structure. Maintain and update existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including coordinating reporting template releases and administrative tasks. Develop robust processes and controls for collating input data, verifying financial transaction trends, and seeking required sign-offs. Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure up-to-date data is seamlessly incorporated into corporate reporting. Analyze and investigate financial transactions to identify potential risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and safeguard the organization. Take ownership of managing risk, strengthening controls, and resolving problems through acquired technical experience and precedential data. Requirements: Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in SQL , Python , and data visualization tools such as Tableau (or similar BI platforms). Core Competencies: Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying automated reporting workflows and interactive dashboards. Business Acumen & Risk Focus: Strong analytical mind, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of risk and controls, change transformation, and financial/economic crime frameworks. Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Ability to guide team members, communicate complex/sensitive information clearly, build networks across external/internal teams, and influence decision-making within the sub-function.
