About the role
As a FX One Application Developer - Java at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies. - Ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. - Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities. - Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data. - Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Qualifications Required: - Excellent Java programming skills. - Experience designing and developing REST APIs. - Strong knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot. - Strong knowledge of standard development and build tools such as GIT and TeamCity. - Experience with Java unit testing practices, ideally JUnit. - Proficiency in Multi-Threading and Concurrency, OOPS concepts, Exception Handling, and JVM Concepts.
