As a Senior ETL Designer at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines to drive innovation and operational excellence. You will utilize cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of digital solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design end-to-end ETL architecture and data integration frameworks. - Implement data modelling, data lineage, and metadata management. - Utilize expertise in ETL tools (preferably Ab Initio, Informatica, Talend) to design scalable and reusable data pipelines. - Gain hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, focusing on data storage concepts. Qualifications Required: - Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts like dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schemas. - Strong focus on performance optimization, scalability, and fault tolerance. - Knowledge of data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes. - Proficiency in advanced level SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning. The role is based out of Pune. To design, develop, and enhance software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues is the purpose of the role. Accountabilities: - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements and devise solutions aligned with business objectives. - Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to the organization's technology communities. - Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing practices. Assistant Vice President Expectations: - Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness. - Lead a team to deliver work impacting the whole business function. - Set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance relative to objectives. - Lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, and identify new directions for projects. - Consult on complex issues, provide advice to support issue resolution, and mitigate risks. - Collaborate with other areas, engage in complex data analysis, and communicate complex information.
