Test Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape by driving innovation and excellence. Your role will involve harnessing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings and ensure unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber/BDD) for efficient and reusable regression testing. - Develop and execute automated functional, regression, API, and end-to-end test suites using tools like Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, Postman, and Karate. - Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) to enable continuous testing, faster feedback, and improved release quality. - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and functional testers to understand requirements, design test scenarios, and ensure end-to-end validation of fraud journeys and business flows. - Build and maintain test data management solutions, stubs, and environment dependencies for stability of automation execution across non-production environments. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them using tools like JIRA/Xray for timely closure and improved product quality. - Drive automation coverage improvements, shift-left testing practices, and continuous framework enhancements to reduce manual effort and prevent production defects. Qualifications Required: - Excellent communication skills verbal & written. - Self-motivated, passionate, well-organized individual with demonstrated problem-solving skills. - Experience in building distributed Machine Learning systems. - Familiarity with cloud technologies: OpenShift, AWS. - Knowledge of DevOps practices, tools, and automation: Chef, Jenkins. - Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and development of containerized applications. - Experience with project management tools: Rally, JIRA, Confluence, Stash.
