About the role
You will be a part of Baxters Research and Development team, where new knowledge is discovered and innovative solutions are developed to meet patients' needs globally. From Scientists to Engineers, your work will directly impact the creation of products that save and sustain lives. Key Responsibilities: - Identify technical problems and provide creative solutions, sharing technical knowledge with the team. - Incorporate business, market, and industry knowledge into technical solutions to adapt to changes. - Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to define and solve engineering challenges within the required project schedule. - Participate in design/change reviews and provide detailed technical documentation of product designs. - Utilize engineering tools to report and track product metrics, challenging work processes to enhance performance levels. - Inform others proactively about developments that affect their work and take immediate corrective actions when necessary. - Generate new design ideas to enhance technical and cost competitiveness for the business. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6 to 10 years of experience in the design and development of complex mechanical components/products. - Demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware development, preferably in medical devices or other regulated products. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software, GD&T knowledge, and experience in FEA and DFSS tools. - Knowledge of various materials and manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, extrusion, etc. - Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously.
