Java Backend Engineer (AI) (Bangalore Division)

Role Overview: You will be a senior, polyglot full-stack engineer responsible for building and owning services on a large-scale supply-chain analytics and alerting platform. Your role will involve working on streaming data ingestion, BigQuery analytics, Java/Spring Boot APIs, React/Next.js frontend, and contributing to an emerging agentic-AI capability. You will operate as both an individual contributor and a lightweight architect, owning services and driving them to production. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and own backend services in Java/Spring Boot, exposing REST and GraphQL APIs over BigQuery and MongoDB. - Develop streaming and batch data pipelines using Apache Beam on GCP Dataflow for ingesting high-volume supply-chain event feeds into BigQuery. - Author and optimize analytical BigQuery queries to detect operational conditions and generate prioritized alerts. - Implement alert-lifecycle and worklist features with reliable, idempotent processing at scale. - Build agentic-AI workflows on Python/FastAPI and develop frontend features on React/Next.js/TypeScript. - Implement cross-cutting concerns such as role-based access, secure impersonation, scoped JWTs, and audit logging. - Ensure end-to-end quality by owning test coverage, security remediation, framework upgrades, and production incident resolution. - Collaborate across teams, contribute to design discussions, and review peers' pull requests. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQL. - Experience in building data pipelines with Apache Beam/GCP Dataflow and querying large datasets in BigQuery. - Proficiency in Python, React/Next.js/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL data stores, and GCP services. - Strong fundamentals in performance tuning, concurrency, testing, and debugging. - Ability to work independently, own a service end-to-end, and collaborate effectively.
