Automation Senior Engineer

As an Automation Support at Bechtel, your role will be crucial in the engineering design and delivery of projects' completed deliverables. Your responsibilities will include developing and deploying work processes, ensuring compliance with 3D CAD related guidelines, verifying project set-up, customizing as per project requirements, providing user support, and more. You should have knowledge of engineering work processes, CAD tools like S3D, Smart Sketch, MicroStation, AutoCAD, review tools like SmartPlant Review, Navisworks, and understanding of Windows operation systems. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deploy work processes - Ensure compliance with 3D CAD related guidelines - Verify project set-up and customize as per project requirements - Provide user support - Coordinate with counterparts in other offices - Conformity of drawings and reports as per project or engineering instructions - Perform 3D model data quality checks - Troubleshoot user issues and escalate CAD issues requiring additional help - Coordinate inter-discipline coordination and manage interferences in 3D model - Facilitate client model reviews and implement AWP and data exchanges with construction and start-up Qualifications Required: - Specialized courses in drafting, design, engineering practices, and CAD, OR a recognized degree/diploma in an engineering or scientific discipline - Extensive experience in design and drafting - Engineering degree with 12+ years or diploma with 14+ years of industry experience from a reputed institute - Good oral and written communication skills - Knowledge of various applications towards engineering and construction, related to Piping discipline's design requirements - Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline - Knowledge of 3D/2D tools especially S3D, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation - Awareness of ES&H and sustainability aspects Please note that Bechtel's internal staffing policy includes the minimum time you need to be in your current position before applying for a new position.
