Job Summary JD For Production Engineer-Cable Key Responsibilities Plan, monitor, and control cable production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Supervise extrusion, stranding, insulation, sheathing, and related cable manufacturing processes. Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and implement actions to improve machine utilization, productivity, and efficiency. Ensure availability of raw materials, tooling, and manpower across all three shifts to avoid production disruptions. Execute and validate shift-wise SAP production transactions accurately and on time. Monitor product quality through in-process inspections and ensure compliance with Process Cards, Control Plans, and Design Specifications. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams to resolve production and quality issues. Implement and sustain 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor. Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards in the cable production area. Support new product introductions, trials, and process validations. Provide day-to-day guidance and clear communication to production teams and operators. Participate in all three shift operations as per business requirements. Maintain accurate production documentation, reports, and shift handover records. Ready to work in all three shifts for production. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of cable manufacturing processes (extrusion, insulation, sheathing, armoring, testing). Understanding of production KPIs such as OEE, yield, rejection, downtime, and throughput. Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001 / ISO14001/ISO45001). Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems for production reporting. Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Strong communication and team coordination abilities. Hands-on approach with shop-floor exposure. Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. 4+ years of experience in cable manufacturing or a related production environment.
