The Role
BGIS is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to join our Self Perform team, delivering high-quality electrical maintenance, repairs, and minor works across commercial client facilities.
In this role, you’ll provide end-to-end electrical maintenance support as part of a collaborative building services team. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across systems including emergency lighting, smoke alarms, switchboards, and general electrical infrastructure, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to BGIS quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
-
Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across client facilities

Conduct fault finding, repairs, and upgrades across electrical systems
-
Service and maintain emergency lighting, smoke alarms, switchboards, and general electrical infrastructure

Complete work orders within required timeframes using BGIS systems

Support and mentor apprentices and junior technicians where required

Oversee and coordinate subcontractors when required

Ensure all works comply with WHS, compliance, environmental, and quality standards

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders

Contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices across service delivery
Your Education, Experience & Skills
-
Certificate III in Electrotechnology
-
Qualified Supervisors Licence (or equivalent electrical licence)
-
White Card (Construction Induction)
-
Current Driver’s Licence
-
1 or more years of post-trade electrical maintenance experience

Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Full working rights in Australia (essential)
