About the role
We're hiring our first Electronics Engineer to lead high-voltage design, mixed-signal systems, FPGA development, and the foundations of timing, beam control, data acquisition, and power integrity. If you want to help seed a home-grown semiconductor-equipment ecosystem, this is a rare builder's seat: full-stack instrumentation where optics, electronics, mechanics, and software meet. Your mission Deliver the electronics that make the instrument feel instant and synchronized: a common timing spine, responsive beam control, low-noise power, and lossless, high-throughput data capture. What you'll do Design the timing and synchronization backbone so optics, detectors, motion, and software operate in lockstep. Build mixed-signal boards: beam control drivers, detector front-ends, data-acquisition, and robust control I/O. Ensure clean, stable power and grounding/shielding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior. Provide diagnostics, fixtures, and logs so issues are obvious and field-debuggable. Who you are Track record shipping mixed-signal/FPGA systems in instruments, vision, or semiconductor/robotics gear. Strong bench skills with scopes, analyzers, and bring-up; pragmatic about testability and manufacturability. Collaborative and documentation-minded. You think in interfaces and failure modes. How we'll know it's working Deterministic, synchronized operation across subsystems. Stable, low-noise performance visible in images and analytics. Lossless capture during long runs and lean EMC pre-checks. You'll shape architecture and culture as part of the founding team, work hands-on, and ship a tool that moves research and industry forward.
