About the program We are seeking a detailoriented and motivated AutoCAD Draftsman Intern to join our growing team. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related structural design fields who want to gain handson industry experience. As an intern, you will work closely with our senior engineering team to translate conceptual sketches, calculations, and design plans into precise, technical drawings using AutoCAD software. This position offers a practical learning environment where you can bridge the gap between academic theory and realworld construction and design workflows. Roles and Responsibilities Prepare, modify, and update detailed 2D technical drawings, floor plans, structural sections, and elevations using AutoCAD software. Coordinate with project engineers and architects to understand layout requirements and implement design specifications accurately. Ensure all drafts and drawings comply with standard drafting guidelines, dimensions, and project constraints. Convert rough hand sketches, PDF layouts, and field notes into clean, structured digital CAD blueprints. Organize and maintain digital drawing files, revisions, and project documentation systematically. Participate in internal team reviews to check drawings for consistency, quality assurance, and technical accuracy. Requirements and Skills Strong fundamental knowledge and handson proficiency in operating AutoCAD software. Background or ongoing education in Civil Engineering, Structural Design, Architecture, or a related technical diploma. Ability to interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and scaling criteria accurately. Strong attention to detail with an eye for precision in dimensions, line weights, and layers. Effective communication skills to collaborate smoothly with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Good time management skills to deliver assigned drafting tasks within project timelines.
