MEP Engineer Mechanical

The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of mechanical systems for commercial and institutional buildings. This includes both the design and engineering of a building s mechanical systems, as well as the preparation of drawings, specifications, and other documents required to complete a project. Responsibilities: 1. Design Mechanical Systems for commercial buildings 2. Prepare drawings, specifications, and other documents required to complete a project 3. Perform calculations for structural steel and concrete design 4. Coordinate with MEP subcontractors to ensure construction is completed on time 5. Manage projects from conception through completion 6. Ensure compliance with code requirements and standards 7. Assist in the development of bid documents 8. Requirements: 9. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architecture with 5+ years of experience in MEP design or related fields 10. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and other drafting software packages 11. Knowledgeable in HVAC systems
