AI Native Software Engineer

Role Overview: At Billeasy, we are looking for a committed and curious AI-Native Software Engineer to join our AI-first product team. You will play a crucial role in designing and developing user-facing features, maintaining scalable back-end services, and integrating AI technologies into our products. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build user-facing features with a focus on performance and user experience. - Develop and maintain scalable back-end services, REST APIs, and databases using Node.js and TypeScript. - Utilize Claude Code as your primary AI development tool for code generation, debugging, and architectural reasoning. - Collaborate closely with the Associate Product Lead and SDET in an agile pod. - Write clean, modular, and well-documented TypeScript code and own the quality of AI drafts. - Integrate with payment gateways, third-party fintech APIs, and internal microservices. - Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security in a high-transaction-volume fintech context. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency and conduct root cause analysis. - Contribute to internal technical documentation and mentor junior team members when needed. Qualifications Required: - Strong proficiency in TypeScript. - Thorough understanding of React.js and Node.js in production environments. - Solid experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production, including schema design and performance tuning. - Familiarity with RESTful API design and modern auth mechanisms. - Comfort with Git and version control best practices. - Mandatory experience with AI tools like Claude Code or equivalent for daily AI-assisted development workflow. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 4-5 years of hands-on full-stack development experience with TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
