Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer - Java at Dassault Systmes, you will be a part of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform's core modeler team, focusing on adding value to production. You will have the opportunity to design software systems, develop and implement new functionalities, ensure knowledge sharing within the team, run lessons learned sessions, and propose solutions to resolve quality issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for staying updated on the latest technological developments and contributing to the team's success. Key Responsibilities: - Design the software system, including selecting algorithms, theories, or technologies, managing dependencies with other components, and documenting selections in a Product Enhancement Specification Document (PES). - Develop and implement new functionalities as described in the PES, including coding, compiling, running unit tests, and checking progress of dependencies with other components. - Ensure knowledge sharing within the team and regularly run lessons learned and RCA sessions to identify areas for code quality or software performance improvement. - Propose solutions to resolve quality issues and manage backlog. - Stay informed about the latest technological developments, understand requirements of development partners, know about competing products, and anticipate future products, technologies, and languages. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science/IT, or equivalent. - Solid programming skills in Core Java and C. - Clear understanding of data structures and algorithms. - Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively. - Curiosity, desire to learn new concepts and skills, and possess an inquisitive and detail-oriented mindset.
