About the role
As an Integration & Lineage Consultant, your role involves designing and implementing system-level and business lineage in Alation for in-scope systems and domains. Your key responsibilities include: - Configuring and validating lineage ingestion from upstream and downstream systems into Alation. - Ensuring accurate representation of data flows, transformations, dependencies, and impact paths using Alation lineage and impact analysis views. - Standardizing interface naming, lineage hops, and dependency modeling practices. - Supporting lineage validation during UAT, audit readiness, and governance reviews. - Enabling impact analysis for change management, governance workflows, and exception handling. - Maintaining lineage consistency and quality as governance scope expands across domains and phases. To excel in this role, you should have: - 8-10+ years of experience in data integration, data architecture, metadata management, or data engineering roles. - Strong hands-on experience with lineage modeling and impact analysis in Alation.
