About the role
We are a fast-growing startup seeking a VPS / Linux Server Administrator to manage our self-managed VPS servers. You will host our website, mobile app backend, and 12 SaaS products, ensuring high uptime, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities Set up, configure, and manage self-managed VPS servers (Linux Ubuntu/CentOS) Deploy and maintain websites, APIs, and SaaS applications Configure Apache/Nginx, PHP, MySQL, Node.js, PM2, Redis as needed Manage DNS, SSL certificates, firewall, and server security Monitor server health (CPU, RAM, disk), logs, and uptime Implement automated backups and restore strategies Troubleshoot downtime, performance issues, and server errors Assist with Git-based deployments and basic CI/CD workflows Collaborate with development team for hosting and deployment Required Skills Strong Linux server administration experience Hands-on with VPS providers: DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, AWS, Hetzner Experience with Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP, Node.js Familiarity with DNS, FTP/SFTP, SSH, SSL, firewall management Ability to deploy websites and apps on VPS independently Basic knowledge of Git, CI/CD, PM2 Understanding of server security best practices Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills Good to Have Experience with Docker or containerized deployments Basic scripting (Bash/Python) Familiarity with server panels (Webmin, cPanel, Plesk) Monitoring tools (Grafana, Netdata, UptimeRobot) Who Should Apply 1-3 years experience in VPS/Server administration Comfortable managing self-managed VPS independently Startup mindset proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on .
