Job Description Role Overview: As an Investment Accounting Data Management Associate at BlackRock, you will be a part of the Investment Accounting Group (IAG) responsible for providing accounting and regulatory data services to clients. Key Responsibilities: - Timely review and setup of securities within the accounting system for investment transaction processing - Supervise automated jobs and resolve exceptions or failures - Provide timely and accurate responses to daily data inquiries - Evaluate systems and procedures for improvement - Participate in efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation efforts - Record metrics related to responsibilities for management visibility - Understand and solve for transforming dynamic data formats to standard - Possess working knowledge of investment products and finance theory - Demonstrate analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills - Utilize technical tools such as Excel functions, SQL, and Unix commands - Make exceptional decisions and champion teamwork - Work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Maintain attention to detail and interpersonal skills - Be open to new challenges and work on multiple projects simultaneously - Technical skills in ETL, Python, and data science are advantageous Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Economics - Minimum of 3 years of related work experience Company Details: BlackRock is a leading asset management firm offering global investment management and advisory services.
