As a Software Engineer at BlackRock, you will have the opportunity to work on Aladdin, the industry-leading investment operating system that manages over USD $10 trillion in assets. Your role will involve collaborating with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment to develop innovative solutions that power informed decision-making for global investment firms. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect in this role: Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with team members across multiple offices and countries to deliver high-efficiency, high-availability software systems. - Contribute significantly to the development of Aladdin's global, multi-asset trading platform. - Work closely with product management and business users to define the product roadmap. - Design and develop innovative solutions to complex problems, ensuring quality through all phases of development. - Drive a strong culture of inclusion and diversity within the team. Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.TECH./MCA or any relevant engineering degree from a reputable university. Skills and Experience: - 4+ years of experience in core Java and related technologies. - Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and design patterns. - Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and concurrent programming. - Prior experience with message brokers and relational databases. - Proficiency in engineering tools such as git, maven, and testing frameworks. - Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Interest or experience in finance and investment processes. Nice to have and opportunities to learn: - Expertise in building distributed applications using SQL/NOSQL technologies. - Experience with cloud-native design patterns and microservice architectures. - Exposure to high-scale distributed technologies like Kafka, Mongo, Ignite, Redis. - Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and cloud platforms. - Knowledge of DevOps practices and AI-related projects/products.
