Role Overview: You will be joining the Data Product Delivery team (DPD) at BlackRock, responsible for defining data product strategy and roadmap, and stakeholder engagement across all Data Products. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the intake of product ideas, gathering requirements, managing the product backlog, working with stakeholders to understand business priorities, promoting the product roadmap, and providing updates on progress and outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Support the intake of product ideas, assessing ideas within the defined SLAs. - Gather requirements and define user stories and acceptance criteria through collaboration with Engineering, in line with Agile best-practices. - Manage the product backlog ensuring it hits KPI targets. - Work with stakeholders including Data Stewards and the Program team to understand business priorities to correctly sequence development. - Actively promote the product roadmap to partners, articulating the benefits and key results we are delivering. - Provide periodic updates on the progress and outcomes of each PI to the Product team highlighting wins, risks, and blockers. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in financial services with exposure to business, middle office, or operations functions or experience in Agile Product management with a focus on ideation and backlog grooming. - Solid understanding of asset and risk management and financial instrument modeling across a reasonable subset of fixed income, equities, derivatives, and alternatives. - Ability to flexibly balance priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Strong financial and quantitative abilities with attention to detail. - Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to stakeholders. - Knowledge of data modeling and ETL techniques a plus. - Exposure to agile methodology, data management, or service management, a plus. - Exposure to asset management systems, preferably Aladdin, a plus.
