As a Software Engineer at BlackRock, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative technology solutions that shape the financial markets. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role: Responsibilities: - Collaborate with team members across multiple offices and countries to deliver efficient and fault-tolerant software systems. - Contribute significantly to the development of Aladdins global, multi-asset trading platform. - Work closely with product management and business users to define product roadmaps. - Design and implement innovative solutions to complex problems, emphasizing quality software engineering practices. - Drive a culture of inclusion and diversity within the team and contribute to team productivity and efficiency. Qualifications: - Hold a B.E./ B.TECH./ MCA or relevant engineering degree from a reputable university. - Possess at least 4 years of experience in Java backend technologies. - Strong foundation in core Java, OO skills, and design patterns. - Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and concurrent programming. - Familiarity with message brokers and relational databases. - Experience with engineering tools such as git, maven, and testing frameworks. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Interest in finance or investment processes is a plus. Opportunities to Learn: - Building distributed applications using SQL and/or NOSQL technologies. - Applying cloud-native design patterns to event-driven microservice architectures. - Working with high scale distributed technologies like Kafka, Mongo, and Redis. - Developing microservices and APIs with REST, Kafka, or gRPC. - Experience with cloud platforms and deployment technologies. - Knowledge of AI-related projects/products or AI research environments. - Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and cloud services.
