As a Software Engineer (Individual Contributor) in the Aladdin Engineering Private Markets group at BlackRock located in Gurugram, Haryana, India, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a top-tier platform offering solutions for private equity, private credit, real assets, and alternative investment managers globally. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, test, and deliver new product features for a large-scale SaaS platform - Develop scalable backend services using C# and current .NET technologies - Build and consume web APIs and services supporting modern UI and integration patterns - Participate in production support, monitoring, and incident resolution in a cloud-based environment - Refine engineering methods through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and coding standards - Collaborate with QA engineers, product managers, UX designers, and global engineering teams - Engage in Agile ceremonies to foster a culture of continuous feedback, learning, and progress - Apply advanced tools and techniques to enhance engineering productivity and code quality Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field - 8+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise or customer-focused environments - Strong fluency in spoken and written English Skills & Experience: - Hands-on experience in object-oriented programming languages, particularly C# and .NET - Proficiency in MS SQL Server, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web applications - Experience with cloud-native, microservice-based systems and AWS/Azure - Interest or hands-on experience in AI/ML within software development - Agile team experience with emphasis on quality and delivery - Problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-motivated approach Our benefits: BlackRock offers benefits including retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents, and Flexible Time Off (FTO) to ensure your well-being and work-life balance.
