Full-Stack Product Engineer

Location: New York City (in-office) Compensation: $200K+ base salary, plus equity The Role

Our client is seeking a Full-Stack Product Engineer who wants to build powerful yet elegant creative tools from first principles. You’ll work closely with the founders and founding designer to shape the future of their flagship product, thinking deeply about how creative tools should function in the generative age. This is an opportunity to design and deliver highly interactive, polished user experiences that balance performance, usability, and creative freedom. What You’ll Do

Collaborate with the founders and design team to architect and build core product features. Develop rich, interactive applications with high attention to detail and visual quality. Work across the stack — from fine-tuning UI/UX in React to optimizing backend performance. Deploy and debug distributed systems supporting generative creative workflows. Help shape the technical direction and best practices for a next-generation creative platform.

Requirements

Creative Tools Obsessed : Proficient in at least three creative tools or has built one before. Frontend Mastery : Strong skills in React, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, and modern build systems (Webpack, ES6, etc). Backend Experience : Familiar with Node.js, Postgres, and production JavaScript backends. Full-Stack Comfort : Ability to context-switch between frontend polish and backend performance tuning. Systems Knowledge : Experience building, deploying, and debugging distributed systems. Detail-Oriented : Deep experience building interactive, user-friendly apps with great attention to design and usability. ML Familiarity (Nice-to-Have) : Exposure to ML-powered tools with intuitive user interfaces. Experience : 5+ years in engineering roles. Taste : Strong product sense and design sensitivity (“great taste” in creative tools and UX).
