Staff Engineer, Modeling CFD Thermal AnalysisLocation: Bangalore, India ResponsibilitiesParticipate as a member of the engineering team in design and development of our product, for system and components from concept phase to production.Thermal management of the whole system/Data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation and recommend changes to the design based on the modeling.Perform flow and thermal analysis, including rack, system enclosures and installations or our Energy Servers.Interface with cross functional team and conduct accurate CFD models.Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options and provide recommendations for improvement.Participate in validations of models through representative tests and support troubleshooting performance issues.Create reports and present modeling results on a regular basis.QualificationsMS/ MTech in Mechanical Engineering with a background in applied CFD.Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer.4-6 years of experience in an engineering company supporting product development.At least 3-5 years in engineering CFD software packages such as ANSYS Icepak, Cadence, CoolSim, FloTherm.Ansys Icepak modeling experience in thermal analysis of the electronic system & ventilation is desirable.Experience in Data Center thermal management is a plus.Ability to develop & validate thermal models of high-density electronic assemblies, battery pack, and complete system.Ability to evaluate and optimize airflow, heat dissipation & temperature distribution to improve cooling performance.Proficiency in building CFD models of the whole system / site / data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling.Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design.Ability to learn new application areas and capable of modeling complex simulations and multi-disciplinary systems.Strong drive for results and continuous improvement.Excellent communication skills.
