Desktop Application Test Engineer - C++/QT/Qml

Role Overview : As a Desktop Application Test Engineer with 5-10 years of experience, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and stability of Blue Ocean Systems' flagship C++/QT/QML-based desktop applications. You will be deeply embedded within the product development lifecycle, collaborating closely with software developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers. Your responsibilities will involve designing, executing, and reporting on comprehensive manual test cases, identifying defects, and validating fixes to guarantee flawless operation and meet stringent performance standards. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop detailed, comprehensive manual test plans and test cases for C++/QT/QML desktop applications, ensuring coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. - Execute rigorous manual testing across application modules to identify and document defects accurately. - Perform in-depth testing of C++ backend logic and multithreaded components to prevent system failures. - Collaborate with development teams to understand new features, architectural changes, and bug fixes. - Document and track defects using bug tracking systems, providing clear steps for developers. - Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to identify potential issues early. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Qualification Required : - Demonstrated expertise in manual testing methodologies for complex desktop applications. - Proficient understanding of C++ programming and experience in testing C++ based applications. - Solid experience with QT and QML frameworks, including understanding application architecture. - Strong grasp of multithreading concepts and experience in testing multithreaded applications. - Ability to create clear, comprehensive test plans, test cases, and defect reports. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. - Adaptability to work in an on-site, collaborative environment in Navi Mumbai.
