Role Overview: You will be joining a leading AI-driven Global Supply Chain Solutions Software Product Company known for being recognized as one of Glassdoors Best Places to Work. Your role as a Senior Data Scientist will involve working closely with the Data Science and Machine Learning team to design and implement the next generation of retail solutions. The team is responsible for turning data into actionable insights that result in measurable improvements to customer bottom line. You will be part of a dynamic environment where the machine learning platform processes real-time data from millions of retail items, serves deep learning models, and generates billions of predictions on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities: - Independently, or alongside junior scientists, you will implement machine learning models by procuring data from platform, client, and public data sources. - Your tasks will include implementing data enrichment and cleansing routines, preparing modelling data sets, feature selection, etc. - You will be responsible for evaluating candidate models, selecting the final one, and reporting on the test performance. - Ensuring proper runtime deployment of models and implementing runtime monitoring of model inputs and performance to maintain model stability will be part of your role. - Collaborating with product, sales, and engineering teams to shape up the final solution by using data to understand patterns, testing hypotheses, and iterating. - You will assist in preparing sales materials, estimating hardware requirements, and attending client meetings, both online and onsite, to discuss new and current functionality. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fields; a graduate degree is preferred. - Solid understanding of data science and deep learning foundations. - Proficiency in Python programming with a solid understanding of data structures. - Experience working with frameworks and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, Jupyter, Matplotlib, etc. - Expertise in any database query language, with SQL preferred. - Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Snowflake, Apache Beam/Spark/Flink, and Databricks. - Solid experience with one of the major cloud platforms, preferably Azure and/or GCP (Google Cloud Platform). - Reasonable knowledge of modern software development tools and best practices like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Jira, etc. - Familiarity with deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, and combinatorial optimization. - Proven experience in guiding junior data scientists in an official or unofficial setting. - Desired knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, etc. (Note: The additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
