About the role
Looking for a Principal / Chief Technical Architect - Healthcare Product Kochi, Kerala Work From Office Healthcare Domain This isn't a role for someone who likes the comfort of maintaining the status quo. We build healthcare software EHR/EMR systems and a low-code platform that real doctors and hospitals depend on every day. We're in the middle of a serious architectural transformation and we need someone who has already done this before. Not someone who has read about it. Someone who has lived it. What this job actually is You won't just be writing architecture documents nobody reads. You'll sit with our leadership and tell us plainly and honestly where our technology needs to go and why. You'll have real influence and with that comes real accountability. You will own the transformation of our product lines into modern, cloud-native, microservices-based systems. You will weave AI into our products in ways that actually improve patient care not just to say we have AI. And you'll bring the discipline and the judgement to know the difference. If your answer to every technical problem is "let's add another microservice" or "let's use AI for that," this isn't the job for you. We want someone who asks hard questions before reaching for solutions. What you'll own The architectural vision and multi-year transformation roadmap you define it, you defend it, you execute it Decomposing legacy systems into proper microservices domain boundaries, event-driven patterns, the full picture Cloud-native strategy: Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, observability the real stack, not the buzzword checklist AI integration that makes clinical sense decision support, NLP, LLMs built for a regulated healthcare environment HL7 FHIR, HIPAA compliance, and interoperability baked into the architecture from day one Evolving our low-code platform so it scales without turning into a mess Mentoring senior engineers and raising the architectural maturity of the whole team Who we're looking for 15+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 in a principal or chief architect seat You have actually transformed a monolith. Not observed one. Transformed one. Deep fluency in distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design Cloud-native experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP not just familiarity, actual production ownership You understand AI and ML well enough to say no to the wrong use cases Healthcare IT experience is strongly preferred EHR, clinical workflows, health data platforms You speak plainly to business leaders and technically to engineers. Both. In the same day. Average is everywhere. We're not looking for average. If you're the kind of architect who is comfortable, settled, and happy with good enough there are plenty of other companies for you. We want the one who still loses sleep over whether the architecture is right. Why this role matters The decisions you make will show up in how doctors experience our software. In whether a clinic can pull up a patient record fast enough. In whether a nurse gets a useful alert or a useless one. This is healthcare. The stakes are real. Kochi. Office. Full-time. This isn't a remote-friendly "check in on Fridays" role. We need someone in the room. If this sounds like the job you've been waiting for, don't just send a template resume. Tell us what you've transformed and what you'd do differently next time.
