Data Analyst/Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of the data analytics team responsible for monitoring key figures of the customer and test fleet. Your tasks will involve data collection, analysis using various tools and techniques, and making data accessible for development teams to make informed decisions and improvements to the software. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and maintain currently working data pipelines, databases, and associated tooling - Implement new features based on customers needs - Fix bugs and fine-tune the data pipelines, databases, and tooling to ensure optimal performance at minimal costs Qualification Required: - General knowledge in Data Engineering and Data Analysis - Good knowledge of Python, with experience in production code development and writing unit/end-to-end tests - Good knowledge of Apache PySpark and Polars, including best practices, performance tuning - Very good knowledge of SQL, especially in writing complex queries with joins, window functions, etc. - Experience with Plotly Dash and Pandas (Python libraries for graphs and data analytics) - Good knowledge of AWS services such as Athena, Glue, QuickSight - Good knowledge of Palantir Foundry tools like Workshop, Slate, and Pipeline Setup - Business fluent in English - University degree in computer science or a related field, with a focus on Linux and Android - Deep architectural understanding of Linux- and Android-based embedded systems - Strong hands-on knowledge of data analytics tools Additional Company Details: The Infotainment platforms unit is responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying BMW infotainment platforms. These platforms are Linux-based SW platforms providing common automotive functions used by multiple automotive ECUs. The team is also responsible for platform architecture, security, stability, and performance. The data analytics team plays a crucial role in monitoring key figures and improving software based on data insights.
