Junior Python DevOps Engineer

Job Summary BMW TechWorks India is looking for a passionate Junior Python DevOps Engineer with 6 Months -1 year of experience to join our engineering team. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, deployment, and operational tasks. Build, monitor, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Deploy, manage, and support applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability. Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment and release processes. Participate in software development, testing, automation, and defect resolution activities. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Python programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and automation scripting. Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and operating system fundamentals. Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar solutions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good ommunication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Relevant Cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, or Linux certifications are a plus. Experience with Python-based automation frameworks and DevOps toolchains. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments is an added advantage. What We're Looking For B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, E&TC, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related disciplines. 6 Months - 1 year of relevant experience in Python development, automation, or DevOps engineering. Strong academic record (70% / 7.0 CGPA or above preferred). Graduates from reputed engineering colleges preferred. Hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, hackathons, cloud projects, or open-source contributions. Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Python, or DevOps are a plus. Strong analytical, coding, automation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
