About the role
As an Associate AI-ML Engineer (Perception/Gen AI) at Boeing AI India team in Bangalore, KA, you will be part of a team that focuses on innovating, developing, and implementing next-generation AI/ML and engineering data analytics for aerospace applications. Your role will involve participating in projects to develop analytics solutions that enhance aircraft performance, improve operational efficiency of aircraft fleet operators, optimize productivity of Boeing engineering, operations & manufacturing, and simulate aircraft lifecycle scenarios for potential customers. Additionally, you will support senior team members in shaping the future vision and direction of Boeing's technology development in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, image/video processing, NLP, GenAI, and data analytics. Key Responsibilities: - Develop innovative machine learning/deep learning models to enhance aircraft and fleet efficiency, improve performance, and increase productivity of Boeing engineers. - Utilize statistical, probabilistic methods, machine learning multivariate analysis, predictive analytics, and deep learning techniques in diverse areas such as airplane health management, manufacturing, automation, and supply chain to add value to Boeing products. - Create innovative approaches for perception systems supporting manufacturing, maintenance, and operations in areas like manufacturing automation, mobile devices, cabin features, and flight-deck automation. - Assist in adopting new tools and technologies, conducting Proof-of-concepts, and aiding in their implementation. - Collaborate with an international team of software development and research engineers, while maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners for project execution. - Document research and development project results and contribute to progress reports and project summaries. - Track and evaluate performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and requirements. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field. - 5+ years of work experience with 3+ years in AI software development and data analytics, including experience with GenAI/LLM powered solutions. - Hands-on experience with machine learning, perception algorithm training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization. - Strong research background in innovating and developing technologies and solutions through data science and analytics.
