About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior Systems Architect in the Airplane Systems (AS) Organization at Boeing India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the development of aircraft systems in compliance with required regulations, procedures, and policies with a primary focus on safety. Your expertise will be instrumental in coordinating across multiple functional teams, leading systems development activities, and providing consultation and technical direction to cross-functional design teams and management teams. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate expert domain knowledge in products such as Cabin Systems, Flight Controls Systems, Flight Management System, or other high safety critical airplane systems. - Design the building blocks for avionics systems according to ARP4754 & ARP4761 standards. - Define and own System Architecture, proposing architectural enhancements for optimal safety solutions. - Derive System and Sub-System level requirements from aircraft level requirements, industry standards, concept operations, and trade studies. - Perform trade studies, evaluate alternate systems designs, and propose optimal solutions for future avionics systems. - Coordinate and communicate regularly with experts in Boeing organizations worldwide. - Identify, analyze, review, and mitigate potential hazards and risks associated with system designs to achieve enterprise and customer safety objectives. - Develop the basis of certification in accordance with commercial/foreign military airworthiness certification standards. - Lead various stage gate exits such as SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, CERT, and QUAL reviews. - Conduct systematic and comprehensive safety assessments on system architecture, integrated design, hardware/software, support equipment, and subsystem installation. - Partner with Technical Fellowship to author and maintain System Engineering Design Practices. - Ensure Safety Management System goals are well understood and deployed in day-to-day activities. - Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities in a timely manner. - Coordinate and collaborate across stakeholders to ensure safety is integral to all activities and operations. Qualifications Required: - A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering, computer science, electronics, aerospace, mathematics, physics, or chemistry with 18+ years of experience, Master's with 16+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 13+ years of experience in aerospace systems/software engineering. - Experience in end-to-end design/development and integrating multiple systems. - Hardware exposure throughout the lifecycle and integration experience. - Excellent people skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. - Strong decision-making, problem-solving, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and creative abilities. - Preferably 15+ years of aerospace industry experience with a focus on systems/software engineering activities.
