About the role
As a Senior Engineer in mobile development, your primary role will be to architect and build a new app from the ground up. The app is designed to be similar to mobile banking apps and will specifically cater to managing our new forex card product. Users will have the ability to perform various functions such as adding or removing money from the card, locking/unlocking their cards, converting their card balance between different currencies, receiving real-time spend notifications, and more. In addition to app development, you will also be responsible for training junior staff members to actively contribute to the app development efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop a new mobile app similar to mobile banking apps for managing the forex card product - Train junior staff members to assist in app development activities Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in developing mobile applications - Proven experience in the full app development lifecycle, including developing robust apps from scratch and publishing them on app stores - Proficiency in Android Programming, Core Java, and OOPS concepts - Extensive experience in mentoring and training junior developers - Expertise in consuming REST and SOAP web services - Familiarity with security and encryption libraries, EventBus, SQLite, animation libraries, charting libraries, camera and QR code libraries, geo-position/mapping libraries, payment gateway SDKs, social APIs, and analytics tools - Strong debugging and unit testing skills - Proficiency with version control software - Experience with Firebase and push notifications Additional Company Details: - Experience with SWIFT and iOS development is a plus - Knowledge of React Native is beneficial - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, backend Java development, and SQL would be advantageous Please ensure to share your app store/play store links along with your resume when applying for this position.
