About the role
Job Description The Process Specialist (Winding/Selective Soldering) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves cross-functional coordination with engineering, quality, production, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and support new product introduction (NPI). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Additional Information Key Responsibilities A. Process Development & Optimization Define and implement standardized manufacturing processes for new and existing products Ensure process capability (Cp, Cpk) meets internal and customer requirements Conduct feasibility studies and support industrialization activities Drive process stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives B. New Product/Process Introduction (NPI) Lead process planning for new product launches Coordinate with TEF, MSE, and production teams for trial builds and process validation Ensure readiness of tooling, fixtures, and documentation before SOP Support prototype and pilot builds with necessary process adjustments C. Change Management Evaluate and implement engineering changes (ECNs) Ensure proper validation and documentation of process changes Align with cross-functional teams before implementation D. Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to quality standards (PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions) Support root cause analysis for process-related issues (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why) Participate in internal and customer audits E. Process Monitoring & Data Analysis Track process performance KPIs (yield, scrap, cycle time, downtime) Analyze data trends and implement corrective/preventive actions Support digitalization or automation initiatives where applicable F. Supplier Coordination Collaborate with internal & external suppliers for process development and improvements Ensure supplier processes align with internal requirements Key Deliverables Stable and capable production processes Reduced cycle time, scrap, and rework Successful implementation within timelines Updated and compliant process documentation Continuous improvement project outcomes Required Competencies Technical Skills Process engineering & manufacturing technologies (Winding/Selective Soldering) PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, Lean & Six Sigma tools Root cause analysis methodologies Knowledge of automation, tooling, and assembly processes Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Behavioral Skills Cross-functional coordination and communication Proactive ownership and accountability Structured approach to project execution
