About the role
About the roleWe are seeking a Junior System Administrator to join our IT team. The role combines Service Desk coordination with desktop support, offering exposure to enterpriselevel infrastructure, Windows and Linux environments, and userfacing IT services.Key responsibilitiesReceive, log and resolve IT support tickets, incidents and service requests via the ticketing system.Provide onsite and remote support for Windows and Linux desktops and laptops.Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain operating systems and business applications.Manage user accounts, password resets and access permissions in Active Directory.Support printers, scanners, conferenceroom equipment and other peripherals.Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues.Perform employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including asset allocation.Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation and patchmanagement processes.Assist with software deployment, email and collaboration tool support.Monitor system health, escalate critical incidents and ensure compliance with security policies.Required profileStrong communication and customerservice orientation.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights.Diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related field.Required skillsTicketing system usage and IT service management processes.Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.Basic Linux administration.Understanding of computer hardware, laptops, desktops and peripherals.TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and general networking fundamentals.Active Directory user and group management.Software installation, upgrades and patch management.
