About the role
About the Project We are building an enterprise-grade, multi-tenant business suite and API generation platform. This is not a standard CRUD application. We are engineering a platform capable of dynamic database introspection, automatic API routing, and high-frequency atomic transactions. We need a hardened backend engineer who understands what goes on under the hood of Node.js and relational databases. The Role You will be taking ownership of the core backend engine. You will work alongside our React frontend team to architect scalable database environments, build the "Master Save" atomic transaction logic, and implement strict multi-tenant data isolation. You will be expected to deliver high-quality, production-ready code in fast-paced sprint cycles. Key Responsibilities * Architect and optimize cross-database interactions (PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB). * Build dynamic schema mapping and introspection engines using Node.js and query builders (e.g., Knex.js). * Design strict multi-tenant data architecture and Row-Level Security (RLS). * Develop robust Express.js middleware for licensing, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and authentication. * Ensure zero event-loop blocking by utilizing Node.js streams and efficient memory management. * Write and maintain clear API contract documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI) for the frontend team. Required Technical Arsenal * 3+ Years of heavy production backend experience (Node.js, Express/Fastify). * Deep mastery of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL). You must know how to write complex joins, optimize slow queries, and handle database transactions gracefully. * Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and knowing when to use it versus a relational database. * Proven ability to manage API performance, caching strategies (Redis), and connection pooling. * Strong understanding of RESTful API design and JWT-based security architectures. * Experience with Docker and deploying to staging/production environments.
