As the Principal Penetration Tester/ Offensive Security Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and scaling the offensive security and penetration testing practice within our lean and rapidly growing cybersecurity company. Your responsibilities will include hands-on technical delivery, practice leadership & delivery, technical & strategic responsibilities, team leadership, client & business engagement, and operational responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-On Technical Delivery: - Conduct and contribute to penetration testing engagements across various domains such as web applications, APIs, cloud environments, networks, mobile applications, wireless infrastructure, and enterprise systems. - Take ownership of complex engagements requiring deep technical expertise. - Perform adversary simulation, exploit development, and advanced attack chain construction. - Author and review high-quality technical reports with detailed findings and remediation guidance. - Stay updated with offensive tooling, exploitation techniques, and emerging attack vectors. - Practice Leadership & Delivery: - Establish and evolve testing methodologies, quality standards, and reporting frameworks. - Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of client engagements. - Drive continuous improvement in offensive security capabilities and assessment approaches. - Lead internal research and red team innovation initiatives. - Technical & Strategic Responsibilities: - Serve as the technical authority on offensive security and vulnerability assessment. - Guide advanced exploitation scenarios and high-complexity engagements. - Track emerging attack techniques and contribute to new service offerings. - Team Leadership: - Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing pentesting team. - Conduct technical reviews and skill development initiatives. - Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented team culture. - Client & Business Engagement: - Advise clients on security risks and posture improvement. - Lead scoping discussions and executive briefings. - Support pre-sales activities and identify new service opportunities. - Operational Responsibilities: - Contribute to delivery processes and operational metrics. - Ensure compliance with contractual and ethical requirements. - Assist in strategic planning and revenue growth initiatives. Candidate Specifications - Required Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. - 10+ years in cybersecurity with a focus on penetration testing. - Experience leading penetration testing teams. - Comfortable in technical engagements and leadership roles. - Prior experience in fast-paced environments. Technical Skills: - Expertise in various security testing domains. - Proficiency with offensive security tools and frameworks. - Strong command of exploitation techniques across different environments. - Knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise environments. - Familiarity with security standards and frameworks. Certifications (Preferred): - Offensive security certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, or equivalent. - Governance certifications like CISSP are a plus.
