Senior Java Backend Engineer

As a visionary Senior Java Developer in our team, you will lead the development of high-throughput, cloud-native backend systems. Your role will involve architecting resilient microservices, designing event-driven data pipelines using Kafka, and implementing advanced caching strategies to ensure sub-second latency for millions of users. Additionally, you will act as a technical leader, bridging the gap between business requirements and scalable technical execution. Key Responsibilities - System Architecture & Development - Design and implement scalable microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.x. - Architect real-time data streaming solutions with Apache Kafka for eventual consistency. - Develop secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs with advanced documentation and security. - Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy - Lead the migration to cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP using serverless and containerized services. - Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes for high availability and auto-scaling. - Data Persistence & Performance Tuning - Manage data models across relational and NoSQL databases. - Implement caching strategies using Redis or Memcached to optimize data retrieval. - Fine-tune SQL, JPA/Hibernate mappings, and database indexes for peak performance. - Leadership & Engineering Excellence - Lead code reviews and technical grooming sessions to promote quality and professional growth. - Drive CI/CD maturity by automating build, test, and deployment pipelines. Required Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 710+ years of professional backend development experience with a focus on the Java ecosystem. - Proven experience in building systems handling high traffic with fault tolerance and concurrency. - Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, data encryption, and secure authentication flows. - Extensive experience in Scrum/Kanban environments. The detailed technical stack and requirements include strong experience with Java (11/17/21), Spring ecosystem, messaging systems like Apache Kafka, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, caching technologies, databases (relational and NoSQL), observability and monitoring tools, and testing frameworks. In addition, soft skills such as strategic thinking, effective communication, and disciplined problem-solving approach are highly valued in this role. Preferred skills include experience with Reactive Programming, contributions to open-source projects, and relevant certifications in AWS or Oracle.
