Position Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Database Developer.
Must Have Skills:
5+ years of relevant work experience
Extensive experience with optimizing and troubleshooting SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, joins, and overall database performance
Ability to participate in and contribute to code management in GitHub including
Actively collaborating in peer-reviews, feature branches, and resolving conflicts and commits
Ability to train and mentor application developers on best database practices
Experience with GitHub CI/CD pipelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with microservices, Kafka and NoSQL databases would be nice to have
Experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory (ADF), is preferred
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform is a plus
Professional Skills:
Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Strong team and individual player
Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
