Architect (Sr. Manager Level)

As an Architecture & Engineering Surveyor in the Real Estate industry at BEL, your role involves surveying the environment to stay updated on trends and best practices nationally and internationally. You will provide valuable inputs to your superiors for developing strategies to incorporate these trends. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a global database of design consultants, architects, and service consultants, updating it continuously through market scanning. Key responsibilities include: - Building and maintaining relationships with design consultants, architects, and service consultants to ensure cost-effective services for BEL - Driving the implementation of Department SOPs and ensuring consistency in Design & Development practices across the organization - Collaborating with the Business Development Department to understand land details and assisting in conducting feasibility studies from a design perspective - Coordinating with Legal and Liaison Departments to obtain project planning information and necessary documents - Developing Architect Briefs with project details and timely submission to consultants, architects - Facilitating discussions and negotiations with consultants for design & detailing requirements - Evaluating design quotes, analyzing drawings & schematics, and providing inputs to the Head of Design & Development - Working closely with service consultants to obtain service drawings and drive value engineering initiatives - Reviewing and submitting marketing collateral information to the Marketing Department - Monitoring timely preparation and submission of drawings and documents for approvals from statutory authorities - Supporting Commercial and Quantity Survey Departments in preparing BOQ and tender drawings - Maintaining a database of all designs and related documentation - Ensuring adherence to the Department budget and driving cost savings through negotiations In terms of qualification required for this role: - You should have a background in Architecture or Engineering with a deep understanding of design principles - Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for liaising with consultants and architects - Prior experience in project management and familiarity with relevant software tools would be beneficial As an organization, BEL emphasizes fostering an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation within all aspects of teamwork.
