SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Consultant to support our enterprise data modernization programs. This role will focus on delivering scalable analytics solutions using SAP Datasphere and SAC, with an emphasis on modernizing legacy environments like SAP BW and BPC. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of SAP Business Data Fabric (BDC) concepts and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Datasphere (DWaaS):

Design, model, and implement scalable data models and business layers using SAP Datasphere.

Build and manage connections to SAP and non-SAP sources including BW/4HANA, ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud-native platforms.

Architect spaces, data flows, consumption models, and semantic views within Datasphere.

Enable and support SAP Business Data Fabric (BDC) principles: virtual access, federation, semantic harmonization, and distributed query optimization.

Perform migration assessments and execute projects to move BW and BPC models to Datasphere.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

Develop interactive dashboards, analytical stories, and self-service visualizations.

Migrate existing BEx queries, BW reports, and BPC planning screens to SAC where applicable.

Implement live and import data models using Datasphere and SAC best practices.

Leverage SAC Planning features, data actions, and predictive functions as required.

Migration & Modernization:

Assess and map legacy BW/BPC data models to equivalent constructs in Datasphere and SAC.

Identify opportunities to simplify and refactor old logic using new cloud-native capabilities.

Collaborate with business and IT to ensure data quality, performance, and governance during migration

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years in SAP analytics (BW, BPC, SAC, Datasphere).

2+ years hands-on with SAP Datasphere and SAP SAC.

Proven experience in migrating BW and/or BPC to Datasphere and SAC.

Strong knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Business Data Fabric (BDC) architecture, and integration services.

Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud data management.

Familiarity with SAP HANA views (CVs), BEx queries, and their conversion or replacement in Datasphere/SAC.

Nice to Have:

Experience with SAP Data Intelligence, SAP MDG, or SAP Group Reporting.

Exposure to non-SAP analytics tools like Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.

Working knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms.

Understanding of ABAP, SQL, or scripting for metadata automation or migration.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

SAP Certifications in Datasphere, SAC, or BW/4HANA are preferred.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Analytical mindset with attention to performance, cost, and governance.

Ability to work in agile and cross-functional teams across business and IT.
