About the role
Job Description Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Analyst to lead a comprehensive technology mapping and cataloguing exercise across business verticals and horizontal processes. This role will be instrumental in identifying, documenting, and analyzing the technologies currently in use, enabling strategic decision-making, rationalization, and future-state planning. Key Responsibilities: Technology Inventory & Mapping Identify and document technologies, platforms, and tools used across business verticals. Map technologies to business processes, use cases, and functional owners. Maintain a centralized technology catalogue with metadata. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with Technology Services and Business Operations to gather inputs. Conduct interviews and workshops to understand technology dependencies and usage. Analysis & Reporting Analyze technology usage patterns, redundancies, and gaps. Develop dashboards and visualizations to present findings. Provide insights to support rationalization and innovation initiatives. Governance & Documentation Establish documentation standards and taxonomy for cataloguing. Support governance frameworks for technology lifecycle management. Required Technical Skills & Tool Knowledge: Enterprise Architecture & Technology Mapping Familiarity with TOGAF frameworks. Experience in technology landscape analysis and application portfolio management. Data Analysis & Visualization Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView. Advanced Excel skills include Power Query and pivot tables. Cataloguing & Documentation Tools Experience with CMDBs (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Ivanti Neurons). Knowledge of Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms. Process Mapping & Modeling Proficiency in BPMN tools like Lucid chart, or Visio. Familiarity with ITIL, Lean, or Six Sigma frameworks. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes across business verticals (e.g. Private Equity/ Infrastructure/ Renewables/ Real Estate Asset Management). Ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights. Experience working in cross-functional environments with diverse stakeholders. Awareness of technology trends and their impact on business strategy. Soft Skills: Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex systems and identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities. Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and geographies. Curiosity & Learning Agility: Eagerness to explore new technologies and understand their business relevance. Attention to Detail: Precision in documentation, mapping, and reporting. Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing practical solutions. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adjusting to evolving project needs. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in technology analysis, enterprise architecture, or IT consulting. Prior experience in large-scale technology mapping or transformation programs is preferred.
