Wordpress Engineer

BrowserStack is hiring for the role of Wordpress Engineer! Responsibilities of the Candidate: Develop and maintain WordPress themes, templates, and plugins Convert designs/wireframes into responsive, production-ready pages Build reusable, clean, and maintainable front-end components Integrate APIs and third-party tools Fix bugs and improve performance, accessibility, and SEO Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to ship features quickly Continuously learn and grow under mentorship from senior engineers Requirements: 1–3 years of experience building websites or web applications Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress basics (themes, plugins, CMS workflows) Experience building responsive, mobile-first web pages Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML) Basic understanding of authentication/authorization concepts Hands-on with Git for version control Knowledge of MySQL or relational databases Good debugging and problem-solving skills Strong learning mindset with good communication and collaboration skills
