It may not be for every role, and, as part of the recruitment process, youll have the chance to discuss smart working and how it might work for the job you are applying for.About this roleThe delivery of MI reporting is strategically important to making Global Services a data driven company.This role ensures that business requirements are turned into appropriate data models that are visualised correctly.You'll have the following responsibilitiesPrimarily designing, developing and maintaining the MI Kitchen product on the Qlik platform.Analyse multiple data sources, and create a target integrated model in a data warehouse.Specify ETL from staging tables, through integration layer, to presentation layer.Design and tune each layer for performance, and other non-functional requirements.Perform SQL analysis and tuning to ensure that the MI Kitchen application is as performant as possible.Designing data models within Qlik Sense, BTs strategic reporting and analytics platform.Designing visualisations within Qlik Sense that provide understand of business performance and actionable insight.Work with stakeholders to interpret KPIs and the underlying business data in order to be able to design data structures that can be used by others to effectively present this data using an appropriate visualisation tool.Share knowledge with other members of the team on technical and best-practice aspects of data design and implementation.Raise risks, track issues, and report progress of your work in a clear and concise way.You'll have the following skills & experience5 Key skills identified as:12 months experience of database design, and writing SQL.12 months experience working with data in a large corporate environment with a strong delivery track-record.Able to interact with stakeholders at all levels meeting their needs in line with business requirements.Experience of producing data visualisations using Qlik, Tableau, Excel, or similar.Able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team, but also to act independently in progressing work.Other skills beneficial for the role are:6 months experience of database performance analysis and tuning, preferably using BigQuery.Experience of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery technologies an advantage.Academic - Degree LevelAnticipate needs and be pro-active in progressing work and breaking down barriers and removing blockers to progress.Communicate complex ideas effectively to stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge and experience of using AgilePIP Content:If you have an active PIP/Disciplinary sanctions then you cannot apply for a role internally for the duration of that sanction.
