About the role
ZEE Entertainment Enterprises . Bangalore Full-time 2-3 years experience . Immediate Joiner About the role ZEE's Micro Dramas business is short, vertical, binge-first storytelling built for mobile-first audiences. Which episode autoplays, where the paywall sits, whether the first ten seconds hook a viewer - each of these is a data question. Right now, nobody owns the answers. You'll be the first and only analyst on this product. You set the analytical agenda for Micro Dramas, decide what gets measured, and work alongside a Data Engineer to build the layer everyone else depends on. You'll report to the Head of Product, so your analysis lands directly on the roadmap. This is a from-scratch role. There's no dashboard to inherit and no metric definitions to accept - you'll define them. What success looks like in your first 90 days You've audited what's currently tracked, found the gaps, and agreed a corrected event taxonomy with EngineeringThe first version of the Micro Dramas dashboard is live - retention, watch-time, episode completion, funnel conversionYou've proposed a north-star metric and got the team to actually agree on it What you'll own after that The metric definitions. Retention, watch-time, episode completion, funnel conversion, ARPU, LTV - and keeping everyone honest about how they're calculated.Experiments. Paywall placement, autoplay behaviour, episode length, hook structure. Designing them, sizing them, setting guardrails, and calling the results.Models and forecasts. Cohort, retention, and monetisation models that inform what the team builds next. The content feedback loop. Telling the content team which hooks, thumbnails, and cliffhangers convert - and exactly where in an episode viewers drop off.Instrumentation quality. Partnering with the Data Engineer on pipelines and event tracking. You set the analytical priorities; they build the plumbing.Self-serve. Views and dashboards good enough that PMs and content leads stop asking you for numbers. What we're looking for Must-haves 2-3 years in product analytics, data analytics, or a similar quantitative role - ideally consumer internet, OTT/streaming, gaming, or high-scale B2C mobileStrong SQL. You can query large datasets, build complex joins, and work with raw event data without hand-holding.Hands-on with Mixpanel or Amplitude for funnels, cohorts, and behavioural analysisComfortable in a cloud data warehouse - BigQuery preferred, Redshift or Snowflake fine - and building views on top of raw event tablesYou've defined a metric that someone else then used to make a real decision, and you can walk us through why you chose itNice to have Experiment design and analysis at a product companyVideo or streaming analytics - start-up time, buffering, completion ratePython or R for deeper modellingSubscription or in-app-purchase monetisation, and growth/lifecycle analyticsYou won't tick every box, and that's fine. If you're strong on SQL and have genuinely thought hard about user behaviour in a consumer product, apply. Why this role The data layer doesn't exist yet. Its shape will be yours. That's rare, and it's the fastest way to grow as an analyst.Short path from analysis to shipped change. Direct line to the Head of Product, small team, fast decisions.Analytics genuinely moves this product. In micro dramas, retention swings on the exact things you'll be measuring - hooks, episode breaks, paywall timing.ZEE's scale and content library, behind a startup-sized team. .
