About the role
Description
The Electrical Field Testing Technician is responsible for assisting in commissioning and testing activities in the field for client projects across the nation.
-
Assist with the field testing for utility and industrial substations and facilities.

Assist with the verification of the proper installation of equipment.
-
Assist with testing of substation apparatus and systems.
-
Assist with compiling test results and creating reports for all the physical testing of equipment test procedures.

Develops knowledge and job skills of cost control and the corresponding testing and commissioning scheduling tasks.

Develops the knowledge and job skills to perform verification of yard wiring per design drawings.
-
Adhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards.
-
Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of electrical fundamentals, electrical transmission and distribution equipment, and their operations.

Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
-
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent required.

Or Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement required.

Previous related internship preferred.

Requires attention to safety and the ability to remain current on all safety training and certifications.
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
-
Ability to travel.
-
Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.

Valid driver's license required.

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
