About the role
As a GIS Specialist with 1-3 years of experience, your role will involve supporting Geographic Information Systems (GIS) operations. You will be working with ArcGIS software for GIS data management, contributing to spatial data analysis, mapping, and database management. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in creating and maintaining GIS maps and spatial datasets using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online. - Work with GIS databases (SDE in ArcGIS Software) to store and manage spatial data. - Perform basic spatial analysis and mapping to support projects. - Help manage GIS data in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) (Bonus). - Learn and use GIS tools like FME Desktop/Server or other open-source GIS software (Bonus). - Support automation of GIS workflows using Python, JavaScript, SQL, or C# (Bonus). - Work with other teams to integrate GIS data into business processes. Qualifications: - Required: 1-3 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). - Required: Masters in Geoinformatics or Bachelors in Civil Engineering or any relevant field. - Bonus: Experience using GIS in the utility sector. - Basic working knowledge of Esri software and GIS principles. - Some exposure to database management and spatial data processing. - Willingness to learn new GIS tools and automation techniques. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
